Do you have a favorite spaghetti sauce recipe? You will after you try this! Trust me! I got this recipe from my mom, who got it from her mother-in-law (my grandma:), who got it from her mother (my great grandmother:)! That's not confusing at all is it?! I tell you that to also tell you that there is a reason that it has made it through so many generations: it's Awesome Sauce! Literally! It is incredibly easy to make, and you will get tons of compliments on it! Ground Lamb Spaghetti Sauce!

Ground Lamb Spaghetti Sauce

Your new favorite spaghetti sauce! Passed down generations, this sauce is the real deal! Super yummy, super easy to make:)

Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds Ground Lamb Or ground beef
  • 2-3 28oz. Cans Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2-3 29oz. Cans Tomato Sauce
  • 1 4 1/2 oz. Can Sliced Mushrooms Or fresh mushrooms
  • Black pepper To taste
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic powder Or to taste
  • 3 Tbsp. Italian seasoning Or to taste
  • Pink Himalayan Salt To taste
  • 1 Medium Yellow onion Chopped
  • 1 Red pepper Chopped

Instructions

  1. Brown Meat and Onion in a large pot.
  2. Strain the meat and onions if there is a lot of grease. If it's just a little, then leave for flavor.
  3. Add tomatoes, red peppers, mushrooms, and seasoning.
  4. Bring to a low boil for about 10 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for at least an hour or for most of the day.
  5. Serve over your choice of noodles and enjoy:)

Recipe Notes

  • You can use any type of ground meat
  • You can substitute diced, or any other kind of tomatoes, if you would like.
  • The mushrooms are optional
  • You can substitute basil and oregano for the Italian seasoning if need be.
